Preserving Arizona's railroad heritage for future generations
The Arizona Railway Museum was founded and incorporated in 1983 as a non-profit, educational and historical organization.
The Museum is dedicated to the railways of Arizona and the Southwest. The interest and fascination of railways and trains has no boundaries and so railways of all kinds are included in the scope of the Museum.
The Arizona Railway Museum is a community effort towards the acquisition, restoration, preservation and display of railway equipment, artifacts and mementos related to railways of the past and present.
All restoration efforts are funded solely from membership dues and public contributions.
We actively seek out and obtain historically significant railroad equipment, artifacts, and memorabilia from Arizona and the Southwest region.
We protect and maintain our collection for future generations, ensuring these important pieces of history are not lost to time.
Our dedicated volunteers work to return equipment and artifacts to their former glory through careful restoration projects.
We share our collection with the public through exhibits and open access, educating visitors about Arizona's railroad heritage.
The Arizona Railway Museum is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization as recognized by the IRS.
We are a 100% all-volunteer operation. Every member of our team donates their time and expertise without compensation because we believe in the importance of preserving and presenting Arizona's railroad history.
Your donations are tax-deductible and directly support our mission of preservation, restoration, and education.
